Sunflower Fields Forever

"Keep your face to the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadows.  It's what the sunflowers do."
--Helen Keller

In my head this half hour was going to go much more spectacular.  I envisioned the ice cream bribe would work, I didn't think there would be 500+ photographers with clients all over the field preventing me from taking every photo I had wanted (oh next year the kids in that turquoise truck will be on my camera) of a gorgeous barn, tractors and antique trucks.  I thought it would be easy to hand off my camera to a random stranger quickly for one shot of the five of us (well, I did but she failed miserably) and I didn't plan on the red sweating faces in the 98 degree heat at 8pm at night that would stare, complain, runaway in the fields from me, be terrified all the bees would sting them and not smile....but among the 280 pictures fails there were a few redeeming wins at the Anderson's Sunflower Farm. My kids would say that was only found at the ice cream shop, but I found a few on my memory card too.
